Inspired by the iconic Nickelodeon cartoon from the early 2000s, "Danny Phantom," we present to you the *Phantom Clog* Line. Danny, the main character who transforms from an everyday high school student into a ghostly hero, we imagined what he might wear on his hypothetical "off day" from fighting ghost crime.
Drawing from the initial idea of comfort, we turned to the original Crocs Clog. Re-imagining the classic silhouette & crafting three unique iterations for this concept. These versions feature Crocs' patented Cross-lite foam for ultimate comfort & a recycled engineered PrimeKnite upper that acts as a snug, sock-like fit around the foot & ankle. The *Phantom Classic Clog* also boasts a variety of co-branded Jibbitz for that extra touch of customization. Resulting in a 100% recyclable product.
The design incorporates translucent details, giving a subtle nod to Danny's phantom identity. The shoes themselves are molded from a vibrant slime green foam, reminiscent of Nickelodeon's iconic slime & Danny's theme colors. The upper knit is a sleek black, which seamlessly blends into his skin-tight suit.
To ensure maximum comfort & mobility, the *Phantom Classic Clog* is engineered with a tabby split toe design. Which has not yet been seen in the Crocs footwear product line. These three distinct styles strike a balance between comfort, style & the agility you'd expect from a hero who's always on the go.
Giovonni undertook this project while assessing a potential full time role with the Crocs Collaborations Design Team. This opportunity allowed Giovonni to establish some very valuable connections & gain invaluable insight that he is truly grateful for. He remains enthusiastic about exploring the potential of continuing work for The Crocs Design Team in the near future.
