Named in honor of Giovonni’s late great-grandmother, the Velma 50 Tote is more than a bag; it’s a tribute to legacy, elegance, and enduring style. Velma was the first to introduce Giovonni to the world of luxury, with her Hermès silk scarves, Burberry plaids, and Dior handbags. Her innate sense of taste and effortless grace left a permanent mark on his creative vision. As one of his earliest and most loyal supporters, her passing only deepened his commitment to pursuing design at the highest level. This piece honors her memory and the inspiration she continues to provide through every stitch.
The Velma 50 Tote is a versatile and luxurious companion designed for any occasion, whether it’s a morning commute, a gym session, or a weekend escape. Its unique blend of generous size, soft collapsibility, and structured silhouette makes it easy to store or display with pride.
Crafted with precision and intention, the original design features premium natural buffalo leather with 24k gold-plated brass hardware, and is lined in a whisper-thin yet durable suede. The bold lapis lazuli body, framed by porcelain dust and river blue accents, creates a classic yet striking palette that feels both elevated and easy. This isn’t just a bag, it’s a timeless statement piece built for decades of use.
The Velma 50 Tote is also available in two additional material stories. Giovonni’s signature bavarian mustardccoated canvas, featuring porcelain dust and chocolate milk accents, paired with gold-plated hardware. As well as a tactile, monochromatic version in a pearl-gray signature embossed suede, finished with PVD-plated brass hardware. Each version maintains the same multi-functional silhouette while offering a distinct take on luxury, texture, and tone.
