Assisted in the redesign of one of Coach’s best-selling heritage backpacks, refining its proportions and features to meet the needs of today’s users. Updated the silhouette to accommodate larger laptops and improve ergonomic comfort, while maintaining the original style’s iconic identity. Owned Tech Pack creation, BOM development, CAD drawings, and end-to-end development management, ensuring all updates from material specs to construction details were executed with precision.

Originally introduced in early 2021, the Coach League Backpack quickly gained popularity as a versatile, functional design, appealing especially to those with a spontaneous, adventurous spirit who still value the quality and craftsmanship of Coach leather goods. Known for its practical layout and sporty look, the League Backpack became a go-to for customers on the move, combining everyday utility with classic style.

In Spring 2023, our team reimagined the League Backpack, building on its original strengths while tailoring it to the needs of modern life. Now offered in a variety of materials, including our signature jacquard fabric and Refined Calf leather, this update brings fresh textures and options to suit diverse tastes. The redesigned backpack showcases custom-branded speed clips on the front body and flap, crafted through new molds, which add both style and function.

With updated proportions to better fit the body, the backpack is now designed to hold modern technology with ease, accommodating up to a 16-inch laptop. Adjustments to the hood and back straps ensure a more ergonomic fit, providing lasting comfort throughout the day. Inside, the compartments have been tailored to fit contemporary devices, and the front pocket now features a hidden magnetic closure for a streamlined look and easy accessibility.

With these thoughtful updates, the 2023 League Backpack embodies both simplicity and sophistication, offering an elevated, accessible design for those who appreciate refined style in their everyday adventures.
