Contributed to the design and technical development of the Sketch Print Capsule in collaboration with a local New York artist. Collaborated on CMF direction, print application, and graphic refinement across ten silhouettes, ranging from wallets and backpacks to handbags and duffels. For this exclusive collection, Coach partnered with a local New York artist to bring a fresh, expressive perspective to some of our most iconic silhouettes. Infused with a playful, sketch print aesthetic, this collection embraces the raw, imperfect charm of hand-drawn illustrations and offbeat typography, transforming classic silhouettes into wearable works of art.
Throughout the design process, we provided the artist with a selection of Coach’s signature elements, allowing them to reinterpret our legacy through their unique creative lens. Rexy (our beloved dinosaur mascot), the cherry print (a Coach classic), the big apple (a nod to New York City), and 1941 (commemorating the year Coach was founded). These elements, paired with spontaneous handwritten phrases centered around luck, fun, and positivity, give the collection a sense of character and individuality.
After extensive exploration of print techniques and logo placement, we finalized a set of sketches and phrases that would best capture the energy of this collaboration. Each piece, ranging from backpacks and handbags to wallets and duffels, features a unique composition, with no two designs feeling the same, yet all working together as a cohesive statement. This collection speaks to the fashion-forward consumer who values pieces that are not only functional but also serve as a form of creative expression.
Crafted from luxurious pebble leather, the bags incorporate a mix of printed, embossed, and embroidered details, creating depth and texture across the surfaces. This fusion of artistic spontaneity and refined craftsmanship showcases Coach’s commitment to bridging luxury fashion with New York’s thriving creative culture. By collaborating with local artists, Coach continue to honor it's heritage roots while pushing the boundaries of contemporary design.
