Theo briefcase
I managed the design and development of a Gen Z–focused briefcase positioned as an accessible entry point into Coach’s accessories line. I helped create a cotton-based Signature Jacquard with a refreshed outlined pattern and water-resistant finish. This innovation guided the silhouette, while I owned concept sketching, CMF, tech packs, BOM, and factory development to deliver a modern heritage-driven design.

The Theo Briefcase introduces a new chapter in Coach’s design evolution, offering fresh energy and approachable sophistication for a younger generation. Developed alongside the Theo Backpack, it helps establish a material-driven family rooted in a new cotton-based Signature Jacquard. Designed to feel softer and more refined than its predecessor, the fabric combines tactile innovation with water-resistant durability and a lightweight build.
The unique material blend allows for a range of vibrant, youthful colorways, while its dimensional texture enhances visual depth and tactile richness. Structured calf leather trims add polish and stability, balancing the playfulness of the patterned body. Details such as refined top handles and a webbing crossbody strap reinforce versatility, shifting easily from professional to casual contexts.
Inside, the bag features a padded laptop sleeve, an iPad compartment, and additional storage for daily essentials. Lightweight and functional, the Theo Briefcase redefines heritage codes with forward-looking material storytelling.
